Mobile GIS Platform

Clearion Mobile is a full featured, map-based data collection and editing application for use with Windows Tablet or XP/Vista. It provides an innovative graphical user interface (GUI), using the Microsoft Office 2007-style Ribbon to create a clean, intuitive big-button application that is ideal for the mobile workforce. The application includes familiar map browsing and navigation tools, plus NMEA GPS integration for display of current position and automatic map follow-along. Clearion Mobile also supports the use of imagery for an enhanced usability in mobile operations tasks. The application dynamically adapts to configuration changes to data layers and attributes. Users also can modify snap settings, control symbology, and perform simple and complex data queries.

Synchronization
Clearion Mobile includes the Clearion Sync Agent to automate two-way synchronization with the database server. This enables the upload of data created in the field to the central database. It also streamlines the process of updating mobile devices with changes made by other users—both to the It allows for the configuration and scheduling of server synchronization through direct database connection (for network authenticated users) or a secure web portal (for access from outside the firewall). Scheduled synchronization tasks will run automatically. Users also can initiate push-button synchronization at any time.

Customization
Clearion Mobile can be customized to extend the core application functionality with data automation processes, enhanced data entry forms, tools, and reports. Custom Actions are data automation programs that run on database events at either the attribute or the table level. Custom Editors modify the way attribute data is displayed or edited within the Clearion Mobile attributes dialog. Custom Commands are new tools that can be added in the Clearion Mobile user interface to support specialized functions. The Clearion Mobile application framework supports the use of .NET for the development of custom extensions.

Reporting
The Clearion solution provides a robust and customizable reporting framework for the desktop and the web. Reports can be configured to deliver pre-formatted work orders, management analysis for work progress and cost tracking, and productivity comparisons. Reports can be output to a wide variety of formats, including PDF, Excel, XML, ASCII, SMS, e-mail, and others.

Configuration Editor
The Clearion Configuration Editor is a graphical user interface for set-up and customization of the Clearion Mobile application. Configuration Editor allows users to modify field display settings, assign Custom Actions and Custom Editors, set snapping rules, manage Roles, and create feature short-cut buttons. The application also provides tools to manage reports and pre-configured query definitions, to create and modify application settings, and to add or remove custom tools in Clearion Mobile. Clearion Configuration Editor also provides tools to set up the server synchronization rules, to view and manage application warnings and errors, and to execute database maintenance routines for the Clearion system tables.
